Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. - Jeremiah 33:3

jss gna C&P gus' blog cause i feel its really something to think about and to know - cheers to GUSFACE c:

often we pray for strength to overcome sin, often we think that it is by our actions that we may suppress sin and overcome sin. but our approach to overcoming sin is different to God's way. God's way is to remove the sinner.

many christians pray for strength to overcome their sins. many of us are preoccupied by the idea that we cannot live a Holy life because of ourselves which leads to the idea that to gain victory, we must have more power.

Watchman Nee says that this approach is a fallacy, that it is not christianity. God's method of delivering us from sin is not to make us stronger so that we may overcome sin, but by making us weaker by crucifying our old selves so that the sinner, our old body, is free from the dominion of sin.
